Course Description:
Introduction to Competition Math is a free introductory course where you will not only learn numerous new math topics not taught at school, but also the ability to problem solve which can be applied to daily life. In this course, we will cover the basics of algebra, number theory, geometry, and combinatorics. These four fundamental topics will ensure readiness for taking the AMC 8 test.

Course Features:
The Competition Math Bloomers curriculum was inspired by the AOPS textbooks and curriculum. Our course will include the following features to promote understanding of competition math and creating a baseline for taking the AMC 8 test.
Areas of discussion and teamwork involved to solve harder problems to bolster and invoke new kinds of thinking.
Weekly homework sets with an assortment of problems from many different math competitions including AMC and Mathcounts.
Practice AMC 8 tests, one at the beginning and one in the end, to demonstrate growth of each individual.
An overall better understanding of problem solving as well as better understanding into the topics of algebra, geometry, number theory, and combinatorics.

Course Calendar:
All classes will be held from every Saturday and Wednesday for 4 weeks at 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM PST.

The classes will be held in the following:
Week #1: June 22nd & June 26th
Week #2: June 29th & July 3rd
Week #3: July 6th & July 10th
Week #4: July 13th & July 17th
