Course Description:
The Introduction to Personal Finance is a free introductory course about elements of finance and basic investment skills. Through this detailed course spanning 6 weeks of content and review, students will be allowed to traverse the fascinating world of finance as they interact with high school students who have received national recognition in business competitions and have experience in managing real money.
By the end of this course, students will be able to gain a fundamental understanding of basic finance topics, as well as “bloom” in crucial soft and hard skills.
Course Features:
Our course will include the following features to promote understanding of the different aspects of investing, as well as plenty of engaging and interactive activities to solidify the lessons learned.
- A series of discussions on fundamental business topics and aspects of finance, mainly covering modern day money management.
- Explanations of strategies that students can use to manage their own money in responsible ways.
Course Calendar:
All classes will be held on every Tuesday and Thursday for 3 weeks from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM PST. For clarification, there will be 5 classes.
