Introduction to Psychology

Course Description: 

The Psychology Bloomers Introduction to Psychology course is a free introductory course, akin to an AP Psych course, covering elements of the mind. Through this detailed course spanning five weeks of content and review, students will be able to traverse into the fascinating world of the mind as they interact with high school students who have taken college-level courses in the subject. By the end of this course, students will be able to gain a fundamental understanding of basic psychology topics, as well as “bloom” in their appreciation of people and the world around them.

 

Course Features: 

The Psychology Bloomers curriculum was inspired by the official Advanced Placement Psychology course. Our course will include the following features to promote understanding of the different aspects of the human brain, as well as plenty of engaging and interactive activities to solidify the lessons learned. 

1. Multiple sessions on fundamental psychology topics and aspects of the mind. 
2. Several, various activities such as icebreakers, interactive exercises, and more as a supplement to the lessons. 
3. A culminating final project where students will encapsulate their understanding of the lessons.

 

Course Calendar: 

Sessions will be posted on May 27, May 30, June 3, June 10, June 13, June 17, June 20, and June 25 at 11:59 PM PST for five weeks from May 27 – June 25.

After registration, you will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days. Please make sure to regularly check your email at least once a day. An email including the invitation to Google Classroom will be sent out no later than May 20. Please make sure to join Google Classroom! All assignments, session links, and communication will be through this platform.
