Four free courses · Summer 2026

Introduction to Music Theory

This course is perfect for students with no prior music background. It covers the fundamentals of basic music literacy, the technical aspects of composition, and classical music styles. Taught by NoteLove volunteers.

When: June 10 – July 15 · Wednesdays, 3–4 PM PST · once a week, 6 sessions

Advanced Music Theory

This course is designed for students who have played an instrument and know the basics of music theory. This higher-level course explores chord progressions, seventh chords, dictation, and four-part harmony. Taught by NoteLove volunteers.

When: June 11 – July 16 · Thursdays, 3–4 PM PST · once a week, 6 sessions

Introduction to Biology

This course is a great fit for students curious about the living world. It builds a strong foundation in biology through interactive lessons and discussions covering the respiratory and circulatory systems, cellular respiration, cell membranes, DNA, cancer and mutations, genetics, and evolution.

When: June 8 – July 8 · Tuesdays & Thursdays, 2–3 PM PST · twice a week

Mandarin Chinese

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of speaking, listening, reading, and writing Mandarin Chinese. Through interactive practice and engaging activities, students will develop vocabulary, pronunciation, conversational skills, and cultural understanding.

When: June 6 – July 25 · Saturdays, 1–2 PM PST · once a week, 8 sessions
